Kristína is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist providing counseling since 2010. She has extensive experience in professional psychological counseling and personal development topics. From 2014 to 2022 she provided diagnosis and psychotherapy to psychiatric disorders at the Department of Psychiatry at the Prievidza Hospital in Bojnice. She has work experience with children and adolescents as a school psychologist. As a consultant she worked on the development of the mental health of employees in corporations. She has professional experience with LGBTIA+ clientele. She consults in the Slovak language.
Kristína received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from the Comenius University in Bratislava. At Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, she was a researcher and lecturer, where her research focused on attachment bonds, working memory and depression. She completed her PhD at Queens University in Belfast, UK and passed a specialist examination in clinical psychology at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. She has a certificate in Occupational Psychotherapy and is a member of the Slovak Psychotherapy Society. She completed a long-term psychotherapy training and certification in Integrative Psychotherapy in the Czech Republic. She is continuously expanding her education and she has also completed other courses, workshops and postgraduate trainings such as EMDR, Psychotherapy and the Body, Compassion and Self-Compassion, Attachment Theory in Psychotherapy & Personality Assessment, etc. She also volunteers in the field of destigmatization of mental health at the NGO "Psychiatry is not upside down".
